CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Although testing April 28 at the East Lincoln Speedway, located in Stanley, N.C., was Lindsey Trausch's first time ever on dirt, the Haus Motorsports driver proved to be a quick study as she quickly brought the car up to speed and gained valuable experience for the first dirt event for USAC Carolina Ford Focus Midget Series scheduled for Saturday, May 14.

"All I can say is wow," exclaimed Trausch following her first laps on the 1/3-mile, high-banked clay oval. "Everyone has told me that running on dirt would be a blast but I didn't quite expect it to be this much fun."

Trausch, who is vying for the series' rookie of the year title, made several laps in the LunaseaMedia Productions Stealth learning the line around the track before the evening was cut short with a ruptured power steering line.

"Since I have never driven anything on dirt I didn't quite no what to expect," continued Trausch, "but after taking it slow for a while I was able to get up to speed and learn just what it will take to be competitive when we come back May 14. Although it's disappointing that we had to load up early I feel like we took a big step towards consistency which is key on any type of race track."

Trausch and Haus Motorsports will be back in action next Friday, May 6 when the series heads to the 4/10-mile, semi-banked asphalt Tri-County Speedway in Hudson, N.C. for the third stop of the season.

Haus Motorsports, headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. was founded in September 2003 by husband and wife duo, Chris and Lindsey Trausch who bring a vast Motorsports and marketing background to the USAC Carolina Ford Focus Series.
